How to Clear Cookies in Google Chrome Browser
To clear cookies in the Google Chrome browser, you can follow these steps:
- Launch Google Chrome on your computer.
- Click on the three-dot menu icon located in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- In the drop-down menu that appears, hover over the “More tools” option, and then click on “Clear browsing data” from the submenu.
- Alternatively, you can use the shortcut key combination Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows/Linux) or Command+Shift+Delete (Mac) to open the “Clear browsing data” window directly.
- The “Clear browsing data” window will appear. Here, you can choose the time range for which you want to clear cookies. You can select “All time” to clear all cookies.
- In the list of items to clear, make sure the box next to “Cookies and other site data” is checked. You can also choose to clear other browsing data like browsing history, cached images and files, etc., if desired.
- Once you have selected the appropriate options, click on the “Clear data” button.
- Chrome will then clear the cookies and other selected browsing data for the specified time range.
- After the process is complete, you can close the settings tab.
Please note that clearing cookies will log you out of websites and may remove some preferences or settings associated with those websites.
